We are a small town... located at a crossroads... in the middle of a cornfield - sometimes called a lazy town... and that's alright with us.
We raise our families here and enjoy the great amenities of our town... AND YOU are welcome to join us... good local foods - specialty shops - theater - arts - festivals - and well... a good time.
BUT... you may be surprised to find we are also a community full of innovation..creativity..entrepreneurship and..what we refer to as "progressive behavior". A community that is very resilient... and quietly stubborn.
Sure, we have manufacturing, farming, transportation and shipping industries... oh, and a big air park. But we have come to realize... big business does not make a community... it is the PEOPLE who make OUR community... a living, breathing community.
Please join us for a visit... a job... a life... that's actually quite nice! If it's the "big city" you want, one is close enough to visit... and that's okay - we don't have everything here... but... we do have enough... enough for a place we call home.
We welcome you to our home! Please stay as long as you like...

What they say...
"It's a community with such an all-American look, that it seems like a movie set." - 60 Minutes
"Visiting Wilmington is like stepping into a Norman Rockwell painting - it's a picture-perfect setting of the slower paced life. Here, Victorian and clapboard homes with wraparound porches, brick storefronts and quiet shady streets mix with architectural gems such as the dome-topped county courthouse, the
Tudor-gabled General Denver Hotel and the art deco Murphy Theatre. And Wilmington is close to some of Ohio's bigger cities - but after spending a day here, you'd never know it." - Ohio Magazine
