Farmers' Market Returns!

Spring is just around the corner and it's not too early to start thinking about LOCAL FOOD! Whether you've just starting planning your garden or you've already made a trip to the local farmers' market, it's a great time to remember all of the important reasons to EAT LOCAL!

WHY EAT LOCAL?

Buying local food supports the livelihood of our local food producers and their families
- Local food is fresher and tastier
- Local food is healthier - many foods lose nutritional value with storage and transportation
- Local vegetables and fruits ripen naturally and can be enjoyed at peak taste while in season
- Local food reduces our carbon foot print with less fuel for transport and often less packaging
- Farm to table traceability - you know who and where your local food is coming from
- Buying local food supports your local economy keeping money in the community!

The annual Clinton County Farmers' Market has returned for its Spring season!

We meet every other Saturday from 9:00 am - Noon in
our summer location, the Mural Parking Lot, 81 W. Main Street, Wilmington. The Market will be open on March 24th, April 7th and 21st, and May 5th and 19th leading up to the summer season start on June 2nd.

The Clinton County Farmers' Market features new and returning local vendors and offers a variety of quality products, including: local meats, baked goods, seasonal produce, unique artisan goods, and much more. Number of vendors and product variety will increase as the season continues.

We are currently accepting vendors for the remainder of the spring season.
